Description
The original cast-iron exhaust manifold on the 924S and 944 2.5 is a known failure point. Forty years of heat cycles crack the runners and the collector — you lose flow, you lose tone, and the whole car booms until it's back up to temperature.
This is our replacement. A tubular stainless-steel manifold, TIG-welded in France, sized specifically for the 2.5-litre 8-valve engine.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need new gaskets and studs?
We strongly recommend new exhaust studs and nuts and gaskets — the originals are almost always seized after 30+ years and often snap on removal. Soak them in penetrating oil the night before.
How much power will I gain?
On a stock 2.5 8v, a small top-end gain. The bigger story is the manifold not cracking and the exhaust working as designed again. Real gains come when paired with a free-flowing cat-back and a tuned chip.
Will it be louder?
Slightly. A tubular manifold rings differently than the cast-iron log — crisper, not louder. It is not a race header. Cabin noise is barely affected.
